American Red Cross
Gold Country Region
Northeastern California Chapter
The mission of the American Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
The California Gold Country Region of the Red Cross serves a twenty-six county territory including Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba counties.
We happily serve 3.7 million residents across a span of 58,782 miles.
Our work focuses on disaster relief, biomedical services, training and certification, Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) and international services.
We rely heavily on the public's support to carry out our mission. When you make a financial donation to support any of our lines of service, you are sending help and hope to people in their time of need.
The Red Cross is proud that an average of 90 cents of every dollar we spend is invested in our mission-related programs. Each year, the generous support of our donors enables our workforce - 90% of which are volunteers - to help people in our region and across the United States.
